Best parks to see it: Meru, Tsavo, Lake Baringo, Lake Bogoria

It can be recognised by the long thin black crest. Inhabits dry areas, from the north of Kenya to Kerio valley and lakes Baringo and Bogoria (to the west) and the parks of Meru, Kora, Tsavo and lower Tana (to the east).
